That was my second thought. The missing obvious connection to Infinity War might dampen it a bit box office wise.

Nah this shyt is gonna do "Thriller" numbers just based off #1 it being a woman super hero and #2 it being an MCU movie.

Dope movie but yall stay too tied that shyt. Solo self contained films are the best ones in the MCU (outside of Civil War)

If this is like BP where we really don't get a connection till the very end (of whats coming) I'm good. That mentality had people shytting on BP cause it wasn't connected to anything IW.

You're wilding breh. Feige has point blank said she's the MCU's strongest character and the universe's best hope against Thanos. That was literally part of the marketing leading up to this trailer.

So it's a bit underwhelming. Key words, for now. But this has to tie into "IW" in some substantial way because she's the only new character being introduced between "IW" and "Avengers 4".

The "BP" situation was completely different because at the time nobody knew where the Soul Stone was and fans were grasping at straws.

Difference is BP was in CW this is this characters' intro .But it takes place decades before current events so I doubt there will be a huge connection.

I think cats really glossed over the fact that there was a Blockbuster, younger agent Coulson sighting, less areodynamic square shaped vehicles, and Fury with hair and 2 eyes

I don’t think it’s gets too much more obvious than that.

Also from the looks of it most of the footage looks like it’s from the 1st half of the movie since we really didn’t see her real suit till the end of the trailer.

The snap is the cliffhanger. That's the TO BE CONTINUED from Back to the Future. You don't get hyped to see a prequel of Doc Brown's developing the Delorean when he just came running back to the past to get Marty to save his kids.
