The bar and standard has been set so high for MCU movies that all you can do is nit pick. No losses. Even their worst movies did numbers. This is no different. nikkas want to be WOOOOOWED!!! with every Marvel trailer. They want details. They want the movie to be spoiled one minute, then complain about the trailer showing to much the next.

They're critiquing Brie Larson's personality after a few 2 minute trailers

But complained all the time about Marvel movies having too much comedy. Most don't even know the damn character just like they don't know when Spiderman Far From Home takes place which is following the events of End Game.

Damned if you do damned if you don't but it will comfortably clear $150 milli opening weekend and will get a RT score in the 78-93% range which is a guaranteed fresh rating.

Perhaps some movies arent made by/with Disney, so that they're able to have female main characters without making them obnoxious virtue signals.

Its weird how nerd simps made up this reality where gaming/comic/anime fans have been historically gatekeeping women out of these hobbies . When in reality they've (both the fans and the media from these itself) have desparately tried to get a geniune female following and more males have followed many of the ones distinctly made for girls. I know way more dudes who watched sailor moon than chicks plus that whole bronie thing.

Women characters arent the problem. Its the vision new age hollyweird try to project on to these characters that are the flaw. They try to make the character they feel "women need to see" on a medium mostly viewed by men and wonder why these characters have no impact. (Including rey and jlaw mystique)

Battle angel is a old series with a female main character and people loved it

Nobody complained about Uma in Kill Bill killing scores of male guards with a katana

They were badass without being sexually gratuitous to horndogs nor corny/forcefully symbolic like what these starbuck sipping feminist homos make. The perfect balance

I agree with the premise but not for the reasons you named.

You started off citing other movies that weren't getting "da agenda" talk in present day. They exist and have always existed.

Whats changed is now the media chastises the consumers for not enthusiastically eating up projects for feminist intentions when they bomb. Yet the argument will be curiously absent when something like wonder woman does well.

Disney has been part of this trend yet I agree the MCU has earned the benefit of the doubt. Im not gonna make excuses for brehs who actually are upset with a female character being strong, those men are lames. But I dont see these nearly as much as folks characterized as them by obnoxuous people trying to fingerwag support to a movie.
