Marvel can say that “she’s the strongest” shyt all they like but until I see a scene in the movie where she’s gets flat out punched in the face and doesn’t react.... like in animes where say a Krillian punches a final form Cell/Frieza, any enemy punching Baki’s Dad Yujiro, or etc and they just blankly stare at him dismissingly.

I’m just not buying it or reacting to that.

Damn so I’m the only one genuinely looking forward to this?

I'm more excited about the cosmic universe and doors it opens to other areas of the MCU than her as a character.

She's filler for me.

And it has dikk to do with her being a female. WW as a character seems 100x more exciting.

Sucks that the Skrulls aren't being introduced with the Fantastic Four cause it's pretty obvious that there's something more nefarious going on with what the Kree did to Captain Marvel.

I wanted to see a Super Skull and a whole gang of Skrulls fighting the Thing and Sue beating the crap out of them with force shields.

People forget this movie was supposed to drop before Infinity War.

That's why it might feel weird to some.

Most intruiging part of the trailer. She calls the Kree what again Super Noble Warrior or something? That means she has been brainwashed and is drinking the Ronan the Accuser koolaid. I think they are crafting an interesting back story. I want to see how it plays out.

This is being heavily billed as a "feminist super hero" movie....this shyt is going to make a stupid amount of bread regardless of whether or not we go see it.

I thought the trailer was cool. Not sure I'm gonna see this in theaters as they haven't sold me on the character yet. I don't see Captain Marvel when I look at Brie Larson....say what you want about the MCU but generally speaking their casting is A1....until this movie. For me at least.

Infinity War really drained nikkas. The bar was set so high with that movie that everything released after it so far is getting the meh treatment.

But I guess low expectations are good. People will be pleasantly surprised with the product. I'd rather go into a movie not expecting much and then be surprised. I didnt want Creed because I thought the premise was lame. Went go see Creed 2 and was . Now I'm going back to watch the first one.

And I haven't really weighed in on this other topic until now....as far as Brie Larson not being curvy or sexy enough to play the character....listen man. If they got a washed 50 year old to play Thor, people would throw a fit. Because the character looks a certain way. Captain Marvel looks a certain way. And if we're being 100% real....Brie Larson does not look like that.

That's all. It don't mean she can't play the character, or the movie is going to be bad. But it is a valid complaint. If it's a male character people fully expect them to have the same physicality as their comic version....but if it's a woman then suddenly it's sexist to expect the same thing. shyt is silly.

You may be right. Idk, at least with GOTG, you had multiple characters that could appeal to many people. This is basically a single character so idk how appealing it'll be to the masses. Although like mentioned earlier, it's a female lead so it might do well in theaters.

I hear ya, just that Wonder Woman is a pretty popular character, one of the cornerstones of the DC universe. And they got a somewhat attractive actress to play her at least.
