Rey was introduced as a badass who basically can do whatever she wants with the force with no prior knowledge or experience. No character growth, no struggle, boring but nearly perfect in every way. Shes a good example of a Mary sue.

Star Wars been trash for so long tho , trash stories ,new trash characters etc, again why is a franchise that’s at it’s all time low being compared to marvel who is doing well, true they not perfect either but it still doesn’t make sense to me to compare the two, the marvel mcu story line been cool so far

I don't think you can qualify as a Mary Sue if you're good at something you've been trained to do.

Rey was a scavenger who defeated a trained Jedi in a day and then fought him to a stalemate on like day 5, that's Mary Sue-ish.

Captain Marvel was trained and is physically superior, she's just good at what she does/is

Plus, you know, we haven't seen the movies yet - I doubt Thanos will be defeated in single combat.
