RT does not have a desktop mode I believe.

I realized I'm overestimating what Microsoft can do, it would be tough for them to throw a desktop OS on a tablet's weak processor.

@Billy Batson: damn Surface Pro is twice the price of Surface RT. Also, Surface Pro is in the same price range as Mac Books.

It's basically worth it, Pro that is.
Since its a full OS,
Tablet and converts into a laptop,
And made by Microsoft,
Price seems to fit.

I can buy an iPad and lap top for the price of one Surface Pro. The RT is gonna have stiff competition, seems like another sub par product from Microsoft.

RT does not have a desktop mode I believe.

The one I played with in the store def had a desktop mode...and it was only $500-$800 so I'm pretty sure it was the RT since folks are saying it is ridiculously expensive.

They almost bamboozled me into buying that BS

The Surface is not that bad,
If you don't want to spend the money for Apple products,
Or buy an Android tablet,
The Surface is fine.
There is still a huge market that needs say a Microsoft Office,
A tablet that can run that is a done deal for most.
