Spiderman is all about humor
Its a breath of fresh air to me

Same here. I actually LIKE how it's not afraid to go all-out goofy with the comedy (though like I said, I see why people wouldn't like it). Just like I like how Young Justice isn't afraid to get super-wangsty.

Spectacular is debatable, but the 90s Spider-Man is NOT better than Ultimate. That's nostalgia talking.

Nope!!! nikka, You wrong!!!! "Spectacular Spider-Man" over Ultimate Spider-Man is not debatable & 90's Spider-Man is WAY BETTER than Ultimate Spider-Man. And i'm NOT on some nostalgia shyt, I recently re-watched all of the 90's Spider-Man show a few years, the show has it's flaws but it holds up well compared to most 90's & 80's cartoons.

I understand the humor can be off-putting, but I don't see why that's SUCH a problem for so many people that USM is basically the "Superhero Family Guy" when these same people have no problem with Young Justice being a "Superhero CW show" with all its angsty teen drama.

The reason the humor is so off-putting is because the 1990's set a standard of serious Marvel & DC animated shows that appeals to all ages. The occasional humor is OK, even the show being a Dramedy is OK. But NOBODY wants to see an all-out childish comedy show, which is what Ultimate Spider-Man is.

The reason "Young Justice" gets a pass for being a "Superhero CW show" with all its angsty teen drama is because:

1. The characters are teenagers
2. It's a very good show (well-written & Well-directed), unlike Ultimate Spider-Man.
3. We already have examples of a show like that with "X-Men Evolution".
4. The Guy behind Young Justice, Greg Weisman, has a loyal following because of his other 2 shows, "Spectacular Spider-Man" & "Gargoyles".

the sinister six having a quiet dinner... while the entire police force is aiming guns at them outside.

spidey tryna get the drop on the lizard, only for aunt may to start blowing up his cell.

and on the low, the amount of sexual innuendo they snuck into that series (mostly via black cat) was -worthy.

still cant believe they cancelled it for that bullshyt ultimate series. spectacular is the goat animated spidey series.
