I can't timestamp it, but at 3:02 he shows his wife. She straight up Asian.

I don't knock no one for dating interracially. I even think you can be pro-black with an interracial wife. But the higher the incidence of c00nery, it's more likely they got someone non-black on their arm.

She looks like a younger version of Kima Greggs from “The Wire”. I’m not an Asian chasing dude, but she’s an attractive woman.
:yeshrug:

Doesn’t excuse Gillie’s ignorant and immature mindset, I’m just saying that she could be biracial (half black and half SE Asian).

I got no choice BUT to be pro-black 24/7/365. My mom and dad raised me to be that way.

And plus, I'm black 24.7.365 what does it look like not giving a fukk about my people?

BTW, I tried getting through that Gillie Drink Champs interview and talk about cringe worthy....I get what he's trying to say, but I get what Noreaga trying to say to...like My mom and my dad my grandma they not gonna see me calling my friend "my nikka" the same way they see it cause of the timeframe the grew up and came of age in. That type of aggressive c00ning Gillie on is just dumb...yeah, let everybody say the N-word til the wrong one come up to you saying it and see if you feel the same way.

Gillie low key brings up a point though regarding artists who put music out saying that word. You're putting out a product that is supported largely by white people. That product is basically encouraging them to participate and celebrate ignorance, fukkery, and a lack of vocabulary. Then we get mad when those same white consumers do just that. We're more mad at the cacs reciting lyrics than the brethren who encouraged them to do so. I never say that word outside of Black circles. It's not even about respectability politics, but it is about self respect. Self respect to me is an underrated aspect of being pro Black.

Something else, dudes really need to up their vocabulary, both in music and in the real world. Was a time you listened to rappers and they actually had something to say. Now it's dudes mumbling, and promoting ignorance. Even their interviews are cringeworthy.

White Interviewer: So how does it feel having your first single chart in the top 50?

Squally-One Hunnid: Yeah...ya know...it umm....felt good.....feel me....yeah haha...feel me.

White Interviewer: Was it difficult to transition from the streets to the music industry?

Squally-One Hunnid: I mean....yeah, but naw..feel me....we adaptable....feel me. Nikkaz just gotta ya know....feel me

That's where we're at going into 2021.
This is true. I thought I was the only one who noticed the dumbing down of society.

I think it was a poor argument in general. Hip hop is full of hypocrisy and bafoonery in general. Grandma wouldn’t celebrate WAP, bytches ain’t shyt, kill this black man, take drugs either. A large percentage of hip hop is dysfunctional.

Seriously...

You dont need a black wife to be for your people..

But when you add the word "Pro black", i expect the participants of your home to be black.

Thats like you saying you a "die hard" laker fan, but rocking a Knicks jersey to every game..
Idk if I see it like that. I think it depends on the partner.

say a black woman is dating a Shaun king who is very pro black.

what if the black woman has a black husband who is a complete sell out who isn’t concerned with black issues how does that benefit?

is Obama pro black? Raised with a white mother then an Indonesian step father...

Where do mixed ppl fall on this spectrum? Maybe they identify more with their white side. Or a black Girls who grow up around white ppl.

I say as long as the partners support the cause then I’m cool with it. Because there are way more people against the unification of black people, especially with media. Media / music promotes predatory behaviors and relationships. That for damn sure isn’t pro black... but they’re black

the story gillie tells here isn’t anything extraordinary. those with grandparents still living and parents of a certain age will tell you the same thing except guess what? in most of their cases the owner of the store was Black and lived in the community. Of course someone who’s had a store for a couple decades and watched the youth of the community grow up is gonna be “cool” to the people of that community in most cases.

The convo is really why and how are our communities targeted for the launching pad of seemingly every Asian immigrant that comes here? And more importantly, where are they getting their funding? (Rhetorical questions)
