But couldn't make albums.
He had 1 hot album in 25 years

Mic Club is one if the greatest Hip Hop albums in Hip Hop history.

For Whom The Beat Tolls
Melatonin Magik
C of Tranquility

All dope albums.

Lyrical Law & Rip The Jacker. Critically acclaimed.

The album he did with Bronze Nazareth had some bangers on it as well.

That is 😁

He did write a love song and it was "mildly scientific but poetically" worded....AND DOPE.

Chorus and singing was the closest he got to an R&B song. He hated on Wyclef, but this track had a theme that a larger audience could relate too. He never went back to this style and it pigeon holed him I think.

Imagine if he wrote some raunchy shiit "mildly scientific but poetically" worded:

"Your smile lights up like an aurora,
Tongue lashing your areolas
I enter like a submarine through your love canal
The hormonal stimulation makes you howl
You baby got that nectar that I crave
Like a feign on the streets of MLK, oh behave
Side strokes like Navy Seals
Back strokes going in 3D, I'm in your Soul for Real?
Now turn around Queen, get on the floor and kneel
Let you talk to the map of Africa, turned horizontal"

^^^^If you see my point, with a good R&B singer, chorus and production he could have at least expanded his aggressive scientific battle rap reach :laff:

The concept of this song is so dope. fukk a rap song, this shyt hits like as a writer. Maybe dude should just write books.

Also I would ask him if he ever thought about writing books, some of his songs got dope sci Fi material

times is gettin worse and worser!

regardless of how one personally feels about canibus, the the fact that he was able to get considerable burn on such a grand stage was a treat to us all and nourishing to the game at large

them times of such diversity and creativity coexisting on large platforms is gone and never coming back

canibus was a big fukkin deal during his emergence

I didn’t listen to any after C True because that album pissed me off :hhh:

Actually I tried to listen to Rip The Jacker last year but didn’t get into it, I might give it another chance :ehh:

Because he wasn't a top 10 rapper, that's why.

Bad vocals, lack of flow variety, terrible ear for the beats, not a great music maker. Rapping is not just trying to fit as many words into bar as possible. He had his own lane and some of his songs are cool to listen to. He was great with punchlines, but how many people do actually own his records? Most of his albums suck. And his debut album is not even his worst! That C! True Hollywood stories is legitimately one of the worst albums ever released.
