Team Canelo Hope To Begin Fight Talks in November

According to manager Chepo Reynoso, he hopes to begin discussions next month for the ring return of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs). Canelo was going to fight against Joshua Clottey in December, but suffered an ankle injury.

The goal is to fight again in May, hopefully against WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs). But Cotto recently stated that Canelo is not his only option when he plans to return.

"We keep on working day by day on his ankle," Reynoso told ESPN Deportes. "Perhaps in November something will be defined. We have seen what Cotto has said, and he can obviously say whatever he wants but if Canelo is not his only option then we will continue along the same lines. What's most important for us is that Saul's ankle is recovering well and we have the expectation of a brilliant 2015."

"The door is not closed for anybody, we want to the important names, that's why we decide not to fight in December. The problem with the ankle could at any moment [cause a problem] and we didn't want to have a difficult future because of an injury."

It's the truth...Miguel Cotto is not a natural Middleweight and Gennady Golovkin is much too big for him.
