I swear I was thinking this too. It’s like he overcompensating trying to remind folks that he’s CANELO if that makes sense. Like bruh we just saw you get washed. You aint gotta overdue it
Yeah it's really weird. It's that, a mixture of anger and anxiousness, along with something else. He almost gave it away in that fight hub interview where he alluded to their being "other" reasons why he lost the Bivol fight.

He looked like shyt in training. And he looked like shyt at the weigh in. So I believe it:manny:.....I do think there's some personal shyt canelo is going through at the moment that we don't know about. But hopefully he can put that shyt aside and regain his focus again. I just think he's eager to get back in the ring. On top of that he really doesn't like Golovkin. That's why everytime he gets little g face to face he calls him out for being two faced.

Little g stays talking shyt behind the scenes. Saying canelo is overrated. He's bad for boxing. but whenever canelo is across from him he's all smiles and compliments. Canelo just letting him know he's a phony. And it's the truth. Little g has always had the public fooled with his nice guy act.

This is a perfect example. Canelo calls him out and Golovkin just sitting there like :yeshrug:

Canelo: GGG Will Be Surprised How Much I've Improved, I’m More Motivated, Dangerous

By the time Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin fight on Sept. 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on DAZN pay-per-view, four years will have passed since their rematch.
Alvarez scored a majority decision in the Golovkin sequel after they fought to a split draw in 2017.
Their careers have gone on different paths ever since, with Alvarez defending titles at 160 pounds, moving up to 168 pounds and unifying the titles as its current undisputed champion, as well as winning a light heavyweight title and losing while trying for another.
Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) has beaten the likes of Daniel Jacobs, Sergey Kovalev, Callum Smith, Billy Joe Saunders, and Caleb Plant and has lost to Dmitry Bivol since his last fight with Triple G.
The Mexican star says that he’s a much better fighter ever since he and Golovkin Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) last met.
“I think he’s going to be surprised how much I’ve improved. My resistance, my strength. That will definitely surprise him,” told BoxingScene.com and other reporters.
“Coming off the Bivol loss I am much more motivated than before. I always train 100%. I love boxing. That will never go away. I feel different though. More motivated. More dangerous. I really want to be in the ring again. Especially with this guy Golovkin. He’s talking a lot of sh!t. It’s going to be a good fight.”
Alvarez said it was critical for him not to take time off and dwell on the Bivol loss. The bout against Golovkin will be Alvarez’s sixth fight since Dec. 2020.
“It’s very important for me to get back,” said Alvarez. “A lot of people lose and take a year, two years to come back. I have a strong mind. I want to keep pushing. I’m in boxing because I want to be one of the best fighters in boxing history. I’m on that line.”
Alvarez also admitted the immense level of recent activity has taken a toll on his body.
“[My body is holding up] with a little trouble, but it’s fine,” said Alvarez. “It wouldn’t be a bad idea to take the time off. But also maybe bring it down a notch and instead of fighting three times a year fight just once.”

Golovkin: Canelo Is Better Fighter Since Our 2nd Fight Because His Opponents Not As Good As Me

LOS ANGELES – Gennadiy Golovkin has gone toe-to-toe with Canelo Alvarez for 24 rounds in highly competitive fights, but he doesn’t have a win to show for it.
The first bout between the two stars ended in a split draw, and the second in a majority decision win for Alvarez.
Alvarez and Golovkin will fight once again on Sept. 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on DAZN pay-per-view for Alvarez’s undisputed super middleweight title.
Golovkin believes he will be boxing against a better version of Alvarez in a fight that is four years in the making.
“I think so [that Alvarez is a better fighter since our 2018 rematch]. Yes. Before the first two fights, I said that whoever wins will have an amazing career and will go far, and that’s exactly what happened as a result,” Golovkin told BoxingScene.com and other reporters.
“Canelo looks better since 2018 because his opponents have paled in comparison to me.
“Champions are champions, of course. Some champions are better than others.”
Ever since Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) last faced Triple G in Sept. 2018, he has beaten Daniel Jacobs, Sergey Kovalev, Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim, Billy Joe Saunders, and Caleb Plant, and most recently in May, he lost to Dmitry Bivol.
Alvarez was widely considered the pound-for-pound king of the sport while crusading through 160 and 175 pounds until losing to Bivol. He currently still stands as the undisputed super middleweight champion – a feat he accomplished by collecting all of the belts in a four-fight, 11-month span from Dec. 2020 to Nov. 2021.
The 40-year-old Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs), meanwhile, has beaten Steve Rolls, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Kamil Szeremeta, and Ryota Murata and claimed two middleweight titles along the way ever since fighting Alvarez.
The Mexican star has insisted that the third fight against Golovkin is a personal one for him.
“I wasn’t that surprised [that this fight is personal for Alvarez]. But on the other hand, if it’s personal to him and his team, you should ask him why exactly,” said Golovkin. “In my opinion, I don’t think anything is personal. This is a sport. If he says it was personal, then why was he putting the third fight off for so long and not resolving the situation?
“If you have something against your opponent, you display it during the fight. When the fight is over, you hug each other, you shake hands, and you put everything past you.”

Maybe it's cause he still undisputed at 168 with a the best resume out the entire top 10 list.. theres a reason he was #1 to begin with.. It took a light-Heavy weight champ to give him an L since Floyd drained him back at 152
