But real talk for a minute............I don't like Canelo. I think he's grossly overhyped, and on top of that he's gassed off of himself. After rewatching that Lara fight, I'm not convinced that Canelo didn't recieve a gift and some shady sh!t was at play. His resume doesn't impress me either, especially with the Trout and Lara fights being questionable wins.

You have basically described Cotto as well. Given the nod in close fights with Mosley and Clottey. Lots of people thought he lost those fights, and its not hard to see why. Hes overhyped, and gassed off of himself. The only difference is, Miguel has been around longer to face more quality opponents. These two are perfect for each other.

Cotto must want Canelo to take something like a 75% to 25% split of the purse or want some ungodly cut of the backend/PPV revenue because even Cotto's side admits it is a financial thing holding up their signing and Canelo makes it sound like he had been very conciliatory in these negotiations because he wants the May 2nd fight date so bad.

Sergio Martinez was a 3/1 favorite while Cotto was a 2/1 underdog....not that big of a favorite and almost a 50/50 fight as far as odds go.

And it doesnt change the facts: Sergio was 39 years old, coming off of 14 months of ring rust, with a bad leg. Those things cant be disputed. It was even brought up in the preview and we all on here acknowledged the fact as well.

Forgot about that & this fight is a toss up. Both have/had stamina issues,one infamous for kneel downs, the other can't deal wit movement, one beat my nikka Maravilla hobbled ass the other beat a non throwin Alfredo sign the fuccn contract mayne!
