Kirkland would be the more fun fight, but I think Clottey is more of the tougher challenge. We know how solid his chin is (which is why it was shocking when Cotto knocked him down, with a JAB no less), and a lot of people thought that if he didn't give away the last two rounds to Cotto, he would have gotten the decision. The cat is talented, no doubt, but I don't know if he has that inner-drive to strive to be truly great, as the last rounds against Cotto and the turtle-shell defense against Pacquiao showed.

Still, I think Clottey would be more than up for a fight, and if he shows a more aggressive instinct, he can make Canelo go a little bit past the extra mile to earn his victory. Canelo's gonna need 1 fight before a possible Cinco De Mayo clash with Cotto next year, so I understand fighting again in December; it's a way to make sure he doesn't get rusty. But Clottey is no scrub. Saul better be careful here, is all I'm saying.
