GGG wasn't cutting off the ring, dictating the pace of either fight, or being very good defensively. I told my cousins GGG was throwing a bunch of jabs just to keep his workrate up to try to hide from the judges the fact that Canelo was boxing his head off. The only thing I ever gave GGG credit for is his chin, he can take some punishment which is why he was able to just keep jabbing, but his actual boxing in those fights was pitiful. :yeshrug:

Why don't you actually post the highlights if you're gonna mention it?....smh

Is this what you're talking about?.....the only moment in the fight where little g actually managed to land a clean shot?:mjlol:......according to little g dikk riders canelo was almost killed off this punch. But yet he still managed to slip every punch after and was right back to rockin little g's jaw by the time this clip was done. Stop letting jim lampleys cheerleading ass sway your opinion and actually WATCH the fights. Smh:hhh:

He whooped Canelo's ass in the 10th round..u know that

Just the fact that we sitting here talking about jabs in a golovkin fight already tells you what it is. This old fukk went from G G G to jab jab jab:mjlol:.......you really are dumb as fukk if you think little g was jabbing because he wanted to. He was jabbing cause he didn't know what else to do. He was just trying to keep canelo away from him.....like "maybe if I keep flickin this shyt this little muthafukker will stop hitting me to the body":damn:

Stopped reading here
You sound like a casual. Not sure if it’s still true but at one point GGG threw the highest % of jabs in boxing.
It’s arguably his main weapon, the thing that sets up all his power shots

The jab is what a lot of fighters use to set up their power shots:what:.......except here little g wasn't using his jab to set up power shots, he was using his jab to set up even more jabs :mjlol:

Now we gonna sit here and pretend little g was Winky Wright or some shyt:pachaha:......The jab was never his main weapon and you know this. This dude built his whole career off knocking guys out "Mexican style".....he was never trying to be known for his jab, he was always about the big "drama" show.....or did you forget that?.....That's exactly why he bytched for a whole year telling canelo to stand his ground and give the fans a real "Mexican style" brawl. But when canelo gave him exactly what he asked for all he could do was back pedal and spam the jab button cause he was shook to death of canelo's power shots. He didn't ask for a war of jabs, he asked for a toe to toe battle. And he failed to deliver because he knew he would be knocked the fukk out if he traded with canelo.

Golovkins middleweight average for thrown jabs is 30 per round. But in the canelo rematch he averaged 45 :scust:......and canelo was walking through all of that shyt and pummeling him to the head and body all night. I'll take 1 canelo power shot over 10 little g jabs all day. Anybody would. That's why little g came out the fight looking all disfigured while canelo came out lookin relatively clean. Little g got beat the fukk up in the rematch and that's all there is to it. Dude was still dealing with swelling like 6 months after the fight happened. That's why he barely showed his face in public:CaneLMAO:

B B but the jab!! :mjcry:

Perfect spot on analysis breh...

The first fight was close because Nelo took rounds off but the second fight son straight up walked that Euro bum down...Both shookboy and Abel talked that "he ran from us shyt" on 24/7 and come fight night shookboy was fighting off his back foot for 12 rounds...:mjlol:

but ring generalship don't count, neither does defense, effective aggression or clean punching...You know the stuff us boxing heads refer to as the four pillars of the sport...fukk all that shyt, what counts according to shookoyz is how many jabs compubox says you landed...

This gif pretty much sum up both fights perfectly IMO...

DefenselessMeekAlaskajingle-size_restricted.gif

According to shookoyz those two jabs should count more than that right hook...:heh:

Who counts body shots? Its all about the JABS...

c2.gif

Look at how petrified they mans is from Nelos left hook to the body...but nah that don't count...:mjlol:

canelo+vs+ggg+1+Round+8.gif

Its all about those jabs...

Like these...

c69.gif

That's an uppercut that don't count because Jim Lampley didn't cheer it on...

More JABS...

GIF-5-Alternate.gif

My bad that's more running from those body shots that don't count...:mjlol:

Here's the jabs...

AjarPotableBluebottlejellyfish-size_restricted.gif

Shookboy did throw a jab in that one before he got his ribs smacked...:yeshrug:

^^^I never understood what anybody saw in GGG. He is one dimensional and fights flat footed, he has no other levels to his game. Great fighters can beat you in more than one way. Canelo can do that, GGG can't.

Why do you think GGG has avoided anyone who is a little crafty as a boxer his whole career, and fought a bunch of brawling bums? He can't handle those kinds of fighters, Jacobs gave him fits, Canelo gave him blues, I think someone like Andrade who won't just engage like an idiot would probably make him quit out of frustration cause he isn't a good boxer, Just a pressure puncher with a good chin. Guy was always overrated to me.

Roy Jones even said after the second fight 'How can you give that fight to GGG, when Canelo has fought and beat him twice(anyone who actually understands boxing know GGG was getting a lesson in there) TWO DIFFERENT WAYS?!?!?! GGG looked the same in both fights, the judges gave Canelo the second fight cause GGG never adjusted, the judges just realized Canelo is the better fighter.

Fam dude is 37 with 41 bouts on his resume without a single W against an opponent worth mentioning...:heh:

Danny Jacobs was his biggest win and IMO shookboy did not win that fight...Outside of that one KD where Danny clearly slipped backing up, shookboy did nothing...That was another one of those HBO "look how many jabs he landed Jim bang bang" fights...He been running from the Jacobs rematch because he knows that was a tough fight for him he was gifted...

And watch GGG will avoid Andrade for his belts if Andrade beats Canelo. Andrade would embarass GGG. Canelo is in for a real fight if he takes that one. Andrade is the definition of the one type of fighter Canelo struggles against: CRAFTY BOXERS!!!

Lara and Trout gave Canelo fits(I felt like he lost both of those fights), and he couldn't touch Mayweather to save his life. Andrade not only is a crafty and elusive boxer who knows how to keep distance he has a height, reach, and speed advatage on Canelo. All the casuals probably think Andrade has no chance and that's foolish.

Still not fully sold on Andrade. I feel like he's hiding some glass in his jaw. And he's been dropped by much worse punchers than canelo and little g. He's got great skills for sure but i'm not convinced he can go a full 12 with canelo without getting clipped.

And if present day canelo fought Lara and trout I think he knocks out both. He's just a completely different level than he was then :yeshrug:......to be honest I don't think a slick boxer is really canelo's weakness. People look at the trout and Lara fights and say he struggles with slick boxers. But those were really close fights. So that means slick boxers also struggle with canelo. It goes both ways. Canelo troubled Lara and trout just as much as they troubled him. I never understood that concept. You put two great boxers against eachother and more often than not you're gonna get a very close chess match. That's just how it is. They're both gonna give eachother hell.

In my opinion a guy who will really give canelo fits is the same kind of guy who gave floyd fits. A relentless pressure fighter with great stamina and a great chin. You're gonna have to completely wear canelo down and never let up. I don't see many fighters in the game who can do that though. At least not any who can take canelo's punch and keep coming. It'll prolly take one of them big ass guys at 168 or 175 to do it :yeshrug:

Canelo isnt fukking like Floyd..body shots changes Canelo's entire fight plan if someone was dedicated enough. Andrade though is too slick for the normal Canelo fast counters..he better keep avoiding him.
