And they don't even see it. Race as a concept did not exist until the 1700s. It was invent in part to explain why Europeans were superior to every other Human population. Ppl were mostly referred to by their country of origin or region. The Chinese weren't Asian, the Zulu weren't African and the Turks weren't middle eastern/ arabs.

African tribes didn't sell "their" ppl, they sold prisoners of war. Like the Russians did or the Indians. Cacs focused on African because it convenient and relatively cheap. What made it easier was how simple it was to instigate conflict btwn warring tribes by just providing firearms. >>>> cacs have used this playbook for well over 500 years.
