CFL started before the NFL
I didn't know that. CFL started in 1958...the college game was well established by then with American Rules...jw why CFL did different field sizes, 12 men, etc.

The grey cup was yesterday?
There was a season already?
I wonder where a potential Toronto NFL team would be ranked in the Toronto sports pecking order(when it comes up popularity, revelance, attention, following, attendance, fan interest, media coverage, etc)
leafs>raptors>jays>toronto fc> toronto sceptres (women hockey rteam) > Toronto rock (lacrosse)> toronto marlies > raptors 905 > toronto wnba team that hasn't even played a game yet > scarborough shooting stars (cebl) > toronto argos

Equal to the leafs?
Above the leafs ?
Above the raptors ?
Equal to the raptors ?
Above the jays or equal to the jays ?
Obviously they would be ahead of Toronto fc, argos etc.
Most people in the GTA who follow the NFL already have their own teams. I don’t see many lifelong Steelers/packers/bills/patriots/cowboys/49ers in Toronto immediately leaving their squads behind to support the local NFL team. They will have to target the young generation of kids because middle aged/old people aint going to be new fans. Je
Everywhere else you mentioned besides Toronto and possibly Montreal their following is big enough relative proportionally to the cities population so miss me with that...FALSE
cfl is only big in saskatchewan, winnipeg, hamilton
edmonton, calgary, ottawa, montreal, vancouver, toronto its dead
The NFL also was not the media behemouth it is now. Then the CFL could compete for market share to an extent. Hence why they attempted expansions to the US during that time....in the doug flutie, pinball clemons days the cfl was massive in toronto, but the game was also much more exciting.
