Can you tell the difference between the average ADOS and West African person at a glance?

Were you or your parents born in africa?
Also if i see a black man wearing sandles or flip flops, but no socks on and i clearly see his toes. I assume he from africa too.

Most ADOS do not look the same as West Africans, due to the heavy white admixture.

Depends on the ADOS and West African in question.
The slave traders went to specific locations in West Africa to match up with the skills they needed in America. I've read that a lot of Igbos ended up in the DMV area, so black folks around there will look more similar to Igbos from Nigeria.
Black folks in South Carolina and Georgia descend from people that grew rice so you might see similarities between West Africans in rice growing regions and blacks in SC/GA. Plus....a lot of Blacks from SC/GA went north to NYC, Philly and Boston during the Great Migration. So...Black folks in those cities will often be related to and look similar to the SC/GA blacks.
I think Yoruba and Akan people were more prevalent in the Caribbean and South America, so you'll see parallels there.
Louisiana....it's said one of the reasons the state prison is called "Angola" is because many of the Africans brought to New Orleans during slavery, came from that part of Africa.
I'd say many Nigerians and Ghanaians could "pass" as ADOS but other groups like Senegalese or folks from Benin, Togo etc. would standout more.

Eyes, cheekbones and head shape are dead giveaways though.
ADOS will have some serious giant peanut heads (I know, because I have it)....West Africans will have a broad face but not necessarily a huge skull. Plus, I think damn near every ADOS breh has the little hump on the back of our heads but not sure I've seen nearly as many Africans with it.
More Africans than ADOS have the high cheekbones.
Eyes....seen ADOS with a fairly wide range from very almond shaped to giant round saucers. Feel like West Africans lean towards almond shaped more often...but not always.
Body type too. Some ADOS will be built like white people (long upper body, shorter legs, thick joints, hairy etc)....don't really see West Africans like this.

most african-Americans/ADOS have softer/watered down features from being mixed with whites at some point. (Most, not all, theres exceptions on both sides)
OT genesis is someone who you can immediately tell is probably not African American, he has very strong features.

ADOS don't share the same genes as Africans why would they look similar.

I can't tell the difference between ados and Jamaicans and other Caribbean besides Dominican and Martinicans
West africans alone don't even look the same
Nigerians do not look like Senegambians or Malian. Hell, Northern Nigerians do not even look like Southern Nigerians
Chadic and Sahel west Africans people do not look like people from the Gulf of Guinea part of West Africa.
having said that, Guineans and Malians, I feel look the most New World black. I don't think alot of AA or Jamaicans would look out of place phenotype wise if they were dropped off in the middle of Conakry and Bamako. which is ironic because most New World black folks are mostly made of Nigerians, middle belt and Angolan tribes with only a tint of Senegambians, Liberian and Ghanaian tribes
