i always wondered, if youre a guy like say a barry bonds or a pete rose, that everybody knows should be in, is it that big of a deal if you dont get in?

like what do you get for getting in the hall of fame?

im saying, when you bring up the baseball hall of fame, the 1st thing that everybody thinks about is pete rose. even if you dont watch baseball. and barry bonds is in the same boat now. its like they are bigger than the hall of fame itself and are getting more recognition than the people that are actually in.

kinda like the WWE hall of fame, where the 1st name that comes to mind is randy savage who was silently banned from the wwe. and then the next names are guys that flat-out turned down the hall of fame like ultimate warrior and bruno sammartino.

Considering the fact that Barry was a Hall of Famer as a Pirate, no i can't take the HOF serious if he ain't included.

If they keep Bonds out then there's a whole era of people who shouldn't be in because everyone was on something back then. Making him the face of it all when he was HOF bound even before the juice is stupid.

Here's the thing though.

1. we don't know when he started taking it.

2. If he was HOF bound anyway, why juice?

I think that whole era should be in except for those that started failing drug tests once MLB actually had to implement legit drug testing (so Palmeiro and Manny shouldn't be hall of famers).

Not everyone thinks either of them should be in. It's not as if the baseball writers are the only ones who question whether they should be in Cooperstown.

The WWE hall of fame isn't legitimate. That is the difference. That shyt is so fugazi, they went 8 years without putting anyone in. It's just a WWE thing anyway. shyt, Pete Rose and Drew Carey are in the WWE Hall of Fame. That's not nearly as legit.

I don't even think Pete Rose shouldn't be in. He was a hall of fame player and everybody knows that. However, he broke the #1 rule, and it's a rule so sacred in sports, nobody within their own sport does it: bet on their sport. IMO eventually he'll get in, but they won't do it til he dies so he doesn't get that satisfaction.

In 2004, this guy reached base 376 times, walked 232 times and was intentionally walked 120 times. In one year. And here's my all-time favorite Bonds stat: Even if he'd gotten no hits that year, he still would have had a higher OBP than the player who led the league in hits.

that's my LF :to:

thats what im saying, if everybody knows that pete rose should be in, and he knows that he'll eventually get in anyway, then is he really stressin it? i mean, dude is the face of the baseball hall of fame.

how is barry bonds not a hall of famer? he was hall of fame bound all the way back when he was a skinny dude in pittsburgh.

meh, i agree that the wwe hall of fame isnt legitimate. i dont even see the wwe itself as a legitimate wrestling promotion half the time. i was just drawing a comparison.

He was a 180lbs soak and wet on the Pirates and netted two MVPs. Moved over to the Giants and got another one. He was already the only guy to go 400/400 and one of a few with 3 MVP's.... This is all prior to him lifting weights. He was skinny as fukk. He did it all with a compact swing.

If his HR output didn't increase he STILL would have had 600 for his career. Plus 500 stolen bases, was great defensively for a 10-year span..High on-base percentage.. What more do you want?

It's like his mistress was saying. IF he did take steroids it was only to balance out what McGwire and Sosa were doing. They were getting a lot of press and people were not paying attention to Bonds despite him being a far superior player to both of them.

Rose clearly stresses it because he'd jump at the chance to get in. He has an autograph signing at Cooperstown almost annually. Hell Bonds allegedly started juicing because he wanted more attention compared to his peers. When you're in the Hall, you're certified immortal. There isn't a baseball player that doesn't care about the HOF.

Baseball writers need to get these old clowns out of there.

Even though I'm not a huge Babe Ruth Fan, the fact that even he was not a 100% vote in on the first ballot says enough.

Say what you want about Steroids Bonds/Clemens but those cats were HOFers BEFORE steroids (allegedly :pachaha: )

shyt has BEEN a joke.

How about the fact that nikkas after him didn't vote for no-brainers such as Williams, Dimaggio, Mays, Gibson etc. just because Ruth didn't get 100%. :snoop:
