Can somebody give an example of morality in nature

Daoism and the I Ching is a study of nature and how it relates to human events. There are in face many lessons to be learned from the natural order and interaction of Natural Elements.

You won't get to the bottom of this discussion without acknowledging that science and reason cannot determine everything definitively. There MUST be a mix of Spirit and Science. Science cannot delve into the depths of human spirit, yet we as humans, cannot deny the experiences we have even without scientific proof. We can go where science cannot.

It would be a logical approach to look at all religions, and remove the filthy human finger prints of it, take the good and leave the bad. It would be the scientific approach to put religious beliefs under the metaphorical microscope to point us in the right direction of where to look for our answers. It would be foolish to dismiss clearly good advice, give by Religious Schools of Thought and to look at human nature as purely logical, when it clearly isn't.

Don't worry about picking sides, the world is far too complex to break it down purely into black and white boxes of right and wrong. Look at the big picture and the small one. Mix both sides of the brain, it really is the only way to get anywhere.

FIrst off, this isn't a religion bashing thread. I just want to know what HL thinks. Most of our basic laws against murder, stealing, etc. are based on The Ten Commandments, but their are many modern laws that have no basis in religion, i.e. traffic laws, antitrust laws, etc. Is it possible to have a moral compass without a religious foundation?? Speak on it...
The end game for the total knowledge of morality ends with a religion of some kind. Its ineveitable.
