I don't think Ray makes it a secret about waiting Hagler out like he did. Im going to watch Leonard/Hagler to score it again just like King did when I have time. That was a good post.

Who did Leonard fight that's NOT hall of famer? Come on, man. Only person he "ducked" was Pryor. He beat everyone in his weight class. A fighter isn't obligated to move up in weight and challenge anyone, esp if there is a lot of competition in his weight class.

Pryor was far more a legitimate challenger than the tomato can Leonard got knocked down by in his first comeback. I think Pryor may be overrated historically but its disingenuous to say he wasn't worthy or that Leonard didn't duck him. Ray knew Pryor wasnt a big draw at the time and he didn't want to risk getting knocked the fukk out or have his legacy tarnished.

Yea he also admitted on making Duran wait for the third match..Duran in the 2nd match came in garbage shape too busy partying to train right and thought he would KO ray..so sugar played smart and made him pay.But I wonder how a quick follow up 3rd fight would of played out.With Duran coming in shape and with that hunger he had in the 1st fight also want revenge for being embarrassed..

i dont no if duck is the right word but he made it very clear dat he only fought hagler cause he thought he was washed up and that he rematched duran right away because he knew he was partying and out of shape. he gets a pass cause hes liked. if floyd said some shyt like dat..
