Dray always been a high I.Q., defensive oriented jack of all trades type player and a winner at every level.

He worked hard on his offensive game ball handling, getting in shape, and even got his jumper to a 39% 3PT in ‘16. He’s not a scorer and there’s nothing wrong with that.

It's seldom any team has 5 offensive threats on the floor at the same time. I have no idea why y'all have that expectation for the Warriors. Dray isn't on that team for the Warriors to ever rely on his offense, if that's the case then the Warriors management failed. He is on that team for his defense and IQ. Why y'all expect him to morph into this offensive savant is beyond me.

It ain’t about that but he’s the perfect outlet to keep defenses honest just by hitting a 15-20ft when defenses want to leave him open to shoot..

Cuz Harrison Barnes apparently cost them a title. If a team forces your 4th option to beat them and he comes up short, thats called losing fair and square....

It’s literally never been a problem. Draymond, like Rodman on the Bulls wasn’t there to be a scoring threat. It didn’t matter for the bulls when they went 72-10 did it
Didn’t matter for the warriors winning 3 titles. And it won’t matter when the warriors are back in full strength

Not one time in his entire career was he ever asked to be a scoring option. Ever.

It’s not about being an option imo. He’s not even a threat. Once teams stopped collapsing on his drives off the pick and roll because they realized he couldn’t score, he stopped being as effective.

bro What im saying is when Steph Klay not on the floor and defenses leaving him open to shoot he can make the pay.

no one is scared of Dray beyond 10ft of the basket

Harrison Barnes wasn't on that team for his defense and IQ. Harrison Barnes was on that team to hit open shots. He couldn't do it which is why he did cost them a title. But Harrison Barnes role and Draymond Greens role as 4th options are not one in the same.

I heard on XM sometime in the past few days that Dray shot (is shooting??) 28% outside of 8 feet....so defenses are definitely sagging off him.

You can definitely tell when Draymonds shots are going to fall.. he is usually on target, but the ones he makes actually have some arc on it. He's just not shooting it consistently enough.

I guess

but the thing is, Draymond USED to be a decent shooter. He turned a slump into a lost talent. He just can’t shoot at all anymore. He clearly hasn’t worked on it extensively enough to be a reliable shooter.

Once again, he just needs to score as well as he did in 2014-15. That’d be great.
