dawg i was discussing this yesterday with some cats from here and couldn't believe how prevalent they're suggesting the scam is . I'd heard people mention it in passing (online) but apparently this is a HUGE thing in the "black community" at large. I for real don't know nikkas moving like that in real life. NONE.

Same with the PPP fraud shyt. I'd hear or read about it but thought who the fukk is actually doing that? This is america.gif i guess...sick culture. Take what you can, give nothing back and then turn around and pretend to be a pious Christian.

I know it's people of all races trying to get over so I'm not about to put this on black people alone. However, the conversations I'm seeing are bothersome because you would think we'd repudiate nonsense like this. I'm being told I'm "not tapped in" because I don't run with crowds who do this type of shyt . It's being framed as some sort of come up or clever play. Why must the worst of us always be the prevailing narrative. Folks want hood/ghetto/degenerate behavior = black and I hate it. And what sucks is there are a lot of actual black servicemen (and their dependents) who are impacted by shyt like this. How can we even get to the bottom of what's going on with the applications if the fraud is so rampant?

A lady who does underwriting for mortgages also had the best point when it came to the topic...... all of these deciding factors that get computed into how worthy you are of said loan are not equal.

Since it's specifically mortgage,the uptick in people trying to get in on the airbnb/short term rental hustle promoted by dudes on EYL and Bandman Kevo probably is a contributing factor into this.

What a lot of people don’t get scamming catches up to you sooner or later. You might NOT be lying on this application but you lied on the previous 10 to help put you in position. Lenders can still find this kind of stuff out.

It’s like people who “tap in” to get their credit fixed then immediately try to get a high limit credit card or loan. As if banks can’t see you went from a 500 to a 750 in 2 months

I agree. I was surprised JT didn’t keep on her for longer and have a real dialogue with her. He just let her say her piece and moved to the next caller. He should’ve really had a convo with her about the ins and outs to really put the listeners on game.

As a responsible adult, you somewhat have to keep certain types of folks within your universe just so you're aware of current/upcoming scams.

B.) loan
C.) opening up a Navy federal account with no ties to the military

granted it's effectively a call-in show akin to radio.... but if you noticed that the listener who clearly didn't understand the purpose of a SSN or EIN when it came to determining credit worthiness let's you know that a portion of his audience simply are illiterate and far more susceptible to these scams.

I did notice that i've seen the airbnb/ real estate passive income getting pushed hard to regular folks.... and all those people who got denied may have been done a favor considering how all those people who collected all these properties are taking L's currently.
