This album reinvigorated my love for where jazz is going. Too often jazz gets "intellectualized" and falls into a still appropriate category of "mesmerization" but for those who cant accept that, jazz doesnt appear to crank. I like mccravens approach because this is very influenced by sampling but very dynamic. A bunch of young musicians (compared to who we think a jazz musician is) tuned into the sound of the time, without being so abstracting
For fellow jazz heads like ya boy koala, Quincy Jones got a service called Qwest TV which has jazz concerts, docs, and etc.
Coltrane and em in their prime being bad asses.
