As long as it's kept optional, and doesn't effect my expericence with the game i'm good. That on disc DLC is some ol' bullshyt though. Capcom is putting in work to take EA's/Bioware's spot as most hated though...

That's completely different then what capcom is doing and why did you throw in dlc in there when Nintendo doesn't even have dlc yet on consoles

After the shyt they pulled with Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I was done.

I hear mad rumors, from Doc Oc, Venom, to them actually releasing EVERY character thats been in the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Then when the day finally comes, you get fukking Shuma Gurath and Jill....AND THATS IT. Then they had the fukking audacity to release ULTIMATE Marvel vs. Capcom 3. You see, it's different because it's ULTIMATE. Hey, didn't get Venom, Juggernaut, Iceman, Mega man, or anybody else cool, but at least we got Rocket Racc00n. :beli:

They see me trolling, they hating.....
Street fighter II and SSF2turbo are completely different games. They don't feel the same. They don't play the same either. They also look and sound different.

I recently copped Street Fighter Anniversary edition that dropped on PS2 a few years back. The collection includes Hyper Street fighter II which is basically every version Street Fighter II combined into one game bro. Can't really tell a difference, besides there being less and less "super" moves with each previous version. That and the fact that there are some extra characters in the later versions

I dont know what to tell you then man

Cause they changed hit boxes, changed moves, changed move properties, added supers, improved sound, improved graphics, fixed glitches, added more characters, more stages, increased game speed, new alternate color palette, new animations for characters, new voice samples were recorded, new scoring system which kept track of combos, first attacks, reversals and recoveries, Air Combos.

Yeah this sealed the deal for me. They had 9 years between part 2 and 3 and dropped a half ass game so they could milk the ultimate version. :beli:

yeah but it was still in essence the same game, it was still Street Fighter 2, just better versions. Instead of making sequals they just took the original, added something to it and released it, and did this over and over. All of those changes you listed happened over a number of newer versions. Each version only added one or two differences, but of course if you get the first SF2 and compare it to the final SF2 it will seem much more different then if you just compare each version to the version that came out directly before/after it.

What you have to remember is that SF2 and all the newer versions were happening on arcade games. So of course they weren't really concerned with creating a whole new game every time. People loved Street Fighter 2 at the arcade so every new version was already going to be a hit. It was far less risk than creating a new game and hoping they would like it. at the same time, all the different versions really extended the life of SF2 and helped further cement its status as the top fighting game.

Like I said before the gap between those games were enough to justify the re-release, they were only 6 months apart or so, back in the day, those changes were big deals especially since SFII really established the competitive gaming scene 20 years ago. In fact SFII Turbo and SSFII Turbo are still a viable tournament games. Also Super Street Fighter and it's update were made on upgraded Arcade CPU's.
