Can we at least acknowledge Ryback has improved?

It's all for naught since they won't give him any wins on PPV. Since he won't get the title and has lose the momentum he has had when he was a face I think he will be midcard status sooner than later. They should have never turned him heel this soon though especially since he aint gonna be Cena.

As far as booking go...the fact that he single-handedly KO'ed the franchise John Cena on PPV after a string of PPV losses could be a sign of a turnaround. You can't name many heel or face monsters that got one over on Cena, let alone on their first try

Well we all know that Cena's title reign is gonna last till either Summerslam or Survivor Series..one or the other. Khali layed Cena out..got tanked. Sheamus was politically protected during that 09 push so Cena didn't get the win back on him immediately. Blandy was company pushed and Cena got injured to stop him from getting payback in 07. He's done some weird gimmick losses to Del Rio as Champ. Lost to Punk over and over again but they've been buddy buddy since he rearranged his contract and he pretended like he was still some IWC shipper that was relatable to the every fan.

So yeah..it doesn't look good for Ryback. Laying out Cena doesn't mean shyt. You got to win and then even win the rematch. Barrett was going strong over Cena for months..in the end? He was buried under chairs to end 2010 with Cena smirking and acting like it was a party at Chuck E Cheese.

He's in the path of hurricane Cena which is not a good thing. It's like I've said a few times he's one of those cats that needed Velocity/WCW Saturday night type shows BAD. The potential is there, it's just brutal watching people work out the kinks on live tv on the "A Show" he's improving but isn't smooth by any stretch. I still cringe when he does power moves

Which is especially bad because dude has been doing this since the early 2000s. He was actually on Tough Enough in '04. He ain't no rookie.

you won't cringe when he loads John Cena's unathletic body in that ambulance.

Ryback is what he is in the ring. His left field promos are entertaining but he can only go so far with the Ultimate Warrior style rants. Every era needs a big body that can be used to put stars and up and coming midcarders over, Kane aint gonna wrestle for ever.

uh, everybody you named still has a prominent spot in the company after their obligatory Cena drama except for Khali, who needs no explanation. and say what you want about Ryback, he's got more upside than Khali.

LMAO

okay, the Nexus stuff was a huge waste of opportunity, but granted: Barrett was never, at any point booked as effective w/o the Nexus, let alone as tough as Ryfield.

Ryback wasn't that bad to me as a face, and he has something going with this whole ambulance/big bully thing right now. We will forget about this whole heel push once Cena retains on Sunday, but as for right now I can appreciate his slight improvement. Whoever said progress was a slow process was definitely talking about Ryback.

Everyone I named company protected and Del Rio is the last hope they got left at the Spanish audience in the main event scene..he was never taking a real dive.

Yeah..he wasn't booked as effective because 5 months after the Nexus was over, Cena was squashing him on Raw in a 4 minute match. I wonder why he's not over?

Ryback sucks as a heel. Ryback sucks as a face. It is what it is. All I see him as is another vastly inferior talent holding back Daniel Bryan from his deserved place in the main event scene.
