I'll hand it to Illmatic and It Was Written.

Puffy and the Hitmen were great at sculpting Biggie.

not bad choices at all. illmatic comes in #3 for me now
puff's vision and direction with guidin' the hitmen in the studio for cookin' up those classics beats/samplin' and playin' back those samples for big was spot on

LAD and RTD are stellar albums. Can't be mad at anyone that feels like the OP does.

But to me the two GOAT albums come from Queens (Illmatic, The Infamous)

i been thinkin' bout this more and more since i been revisitin' these 2 albums
plus recently buyin' them' again since i've restarted my hip hop album collection due to a lot of my shyt bein' scratched up, stolen or lost
but these 2 albums are really like the godfather 1 and the godfather 2 of this hip hop shyt; the combination of the writin' as far as the lyrics go is as profound as it gets and then the in depth and cinematic production make for the most timeless hip hop albums hip hop has ever seen and heard:mjcry:
