I live down the street from one.

The food's pretty good, but it's way overpriced.

The most costly thing on the menu is $46. It's a little pricier than the average restaurant, but it's not expensive. High school students take dates there. That'show you know it's not expensive.

bruh, I know yall nikkas rolling in 6 figure salaries, but to the average person 20+ for a meal is expensive

Im pretty sure more highschoolers are going to Applebees for dates than a restaurant with prices comparable to Benihana

I said "pricier than the average restaurant". That doesn't mean expensive though. Has nothing to do with anyone's salary. Just where it measures on scale of the prices of meals at other restaurants. Your second analogy is off in that, more people go to Applebee's when compared to Benihana's, period. Maybe not because of price, but more so about convenience/number and proximity of locations. That's like saying Applebee's is expensive because most/more people eat at McDonalds.

It's relatively expensive to some spots, relatively cheaper than others as well.

See Here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/benihana-atlanta Benihana's is only a $$ restaurant.

because dudes can get away with paying $30 for a plate of shrimp and filet mignon for a chick, when at a legit steakhouse like Charlie's, Shula's, or Ruth's Chris that same shyt would cost at least double that... so it's cost effective for fellas, while the girl's happy because she can tell her friends that homie took her out for steak and shrimp

Yeah, its definitely overpriced for what you get. But I really wouldn't call it "expensive". But I guess that's a matter of personal opinion.
