That aspect was only used to scare white people into agreeing with the ban on hemp/marijuana.

Also its important to note people had no idea they were making HEMP illegal when they made CANNABIS illegal.

The difference in making alcohol illegal is night and day. Alcohol is a horrible destructive drug, when you got 100 pissed off drunk people mad that Alcohol is illegal there is gonna be HELL to pay. Not to mention Black Market liquor was responsible for tons and tons of deaths due to impurities and people putting random shyt to water down their product (like bleacher and other crazy shyt). Same way Ecstasy is filled with a bunch of stuff you don't want.
