He can.

But only if the fervor of citizens AGAINST guns is equal to or greater than the opposition

In other words, the citizens have to be willing to fight for it and believe in the fight every day. Not just when its election time. Not just because Bloomberg is fronting the money.

Bloomberg is the one person on the sane side of the gun issue that has the bread to go toe 2 toe with the NRA

can he make a change?

he blew like $12MM a year or two ago trying to get the last gun regs passed and it didn't happen.

I'm sure he has more access to financing than one could imagine.

I think the issue is there aren't enough people(voters) interested in changing the status quo

the thing is public opinion is really in favor of stricter background checks which failed a year ago or so...its the politicians are all in the NRA's pockets. They can't vote remotely anti-gun without a bunch political groups slandering them in ads come election time

If that's the case why haven't these politicians been voted out off office?

Gun control will only start to "win" when their money matches up or exceeds the anti gun control side. Basically can they buy more politicians than the NRA.

Its very similar to gay marriage. What the "people" want or poll in the grand scheme doesn't mean a goddamn thing :mjlol:

There are stories Bloomberg spent $250 to be mayor of NYC. This says he only cares a fifth about guns than selling Nissan cars. He's going to put up numbers in the billions if he plans on changing "minds and hearts" on the issue.

Until then, Cabelas opens up in Wilmington in a couple days.

nothing wrong with guns but the perverse culture the NRA and other groups created around guns in this country needs to be stopped

sorry i posted the wrong thing. i meant nothing wrong with guns but the groups like the NRA promotes a culture of paranoia, rambo-ism, right wing ideology, and the believe that anyone should be able to own any weapon available.
