Can managers read your one on one messages with another coworker in teams? 🤔

Just curious as I think my manager may be using that secret info against me. Nothing harmful but anti-trust.

My job started offering remote. I have to supervise via Teams, just started using it. I know in the channel I created, I had to invite everyone into it - so they can see our conversations. But you can create seperate channels for one-on-one chats. I'm pretty sure IT can monitor everything on it.

if your manager has a plug with HR and IT, he probably can. I know I'm good with a bunch of heads in IT and HR. But I'm a cool ass supervisor and I attract good people, so I don't have those problems.

I be talking shyt about my external co-workers and their constant fukk ups so I hope not
This..... but it may also be what is being used against me.

But at my company, people are extremely toxic. They document everything you say while engaging in conversation with you telling you their own messy shıt they do.

Everything I said was used against me, even asking a co worker for assistance or clarification at work.

According to this yes. I really wouldn't send anything in teams that you don't want others to see as a general rule.

Yea I'm fụcked. It makes sense though. She was saying shıt that had me thinking......na, no one would leak this shıt with the dirt I had on them.

The only difference is that they talked about it and I typed it so it's out there.

I thought those messages were private but I remember my old lead would prefer to get on a call whenever I was dealing with some work related stress.

Lesson learned. Hopefully it won't be that bad, but just be sure to watch what you post in the future in general.

They've already built up a case against me especially because of personal shıt I know about old coworkers that "retired".

In my meeting this morning, she pretty much alluded to knowing what I said and to be careful in the future with another job with who you converse with. It wasn't so much what I said but what I shouldn't know.

At this point, they're just playing chess because even if it hurts their company at this time of the year, it's harmful for the company overall in terms of their morale.

One person quit because of this employee that set me up. A previous employer was "laid off" so its deeper than rap. She's coveted in her role.
