Wade wouldn't need to defer if Bosh wuznt on the team,but Bosh has to get his too....Kobe don't need to defer becuz between him and Howard there's plenty to go around as long as Nash aaint takin no shots and why would he need to? Get your 20 assist per game and collect that trophy at the end....there's enuff to go around on this team,and the scary thing is Nash will get the whole team easy shots and make them more productive....we got Dwight and Gasol gon be the most productive they've ever been.....Kobe won't need to take the stupid shots he takes now....those shots that y'all called stupid,that Kobe felt wuz neccesary won't be neccesary this year....that shooting percentage gon be close to 50%...the gawd back haters get mad

Kobe is not the best player in the league anymore. He's barely in the top 5 now. Pretty much depends on how good a season he has. but he's declining. Two years from now he'll be at the bottom half of the top 10. Still #1 shooting guard in the league though barely over wade but not for much longer.

Totally different dynamic exist between Bron/Wade on the heat and this year's Laker squad...if we're talking strictly on the floor, kobe's game doesn't overlap with Dwight's game anywhere near the extent that bron and wade's did...he'll play off the ball less because Nash is there (which frankly I think he'll relish at this point of his career), but far as offensive production and such there's not as much of a natural conflict as Bron/Wade...and less of a need for anybody to "step back"...it's more of a natural fit and the roles are more clearly defined..keeping in mind that Dwight is replacing Bynum, who took a similar amount of shots as Dwight did as a 2nd option to Dwight's 1st in ORL...and many would argue has the more dependable offensive game

if we're talking about actually leading the team, you're smoking dust if you think 5time champion and laker pillar kobe is just gonna fall back and relinquish leadership of the team to goofy ass Dwight or even a respected vet like Nash...there may be more of leadership by committee thing at play, but that'll be more about inclusion of others than Kobe stepping back from anything
