It’s funny you made this thread because I was thinking what would be of them groups if they kept it all the way Atlanta. I mean there’s nothing wrong with being signed to Dreamville but I wonder where they would be if somebody younger got their Rico Wade/ONP on and get these young ATL spitters together in a house on some new Dungeon Family shyt. I mean they’re doing good now but maybe they would’ve been bigger if they kept it Atlanta.

J.I.D has potential to be a superstar

He is basically a Atlanta Kendrick

And earth gang is too niche imo to be super mainstream. They seem the type to have a cult following that keeps them fed but they don't have the charisma of J.I.D

Also all them nikkas in they late 20's
They'll outlast a lot of these lame new nikkas like lil pump

I believe this.. Earthgang could pop if they made a few changes but I do like them. I saw them in Concert in Charlotte and the one dude wore a damn mask for the whole set smh.

Same reason Jay didn't want anybody from his label outshining him.

Artists have very fragile egos and usually don't work as label heads for that reason.

We'll see though.

They're making about the same amount of noise as they were before the Dreamville signing a couple years ago.

And he didn't put any of them on his new album to get them some national attention.

I'm struggling to see the point of them signing instead of continuing to push their Spillage Village collective.

XXL doesn't go off talent, it goes off newer guys with popularity. It's not a secret
