To enhance your appearance, i'll say get a nice fade and grow out a goatee. And dress nice. If you think your out of style then you might need to update your wardrobe.
To enhance your confidence in public, I'll say keep a flask of whisky or rum in your back pocket. If you're driving have some kind of strong scented chewing gum and mint.
