People have misunderstandings about what equality is--even people fighting for it.

People think equality is about having the same thing. It's not.
It's about everybody getting what they need to be their best.

Would you give eye surgery to somebody with hearing loss? Crutches to somebody with a paper cut?

Equity doesn't necessitate everybody being the same. It's an acknowledgement of how and what people bring to life.

Oftentimes we not even trying to be equal. We are just fighting for a space to figure out who we are and what we can do b/c inequality strikes at the heart of that and that's the core of the problem: inequality attacks identity.

And does so in such a damaging way that it leaves whole ass individuals diminished. If strips the nobility and divinity of humanity away from people and leaves them exploitable for mere crumbs. That's the gravest issue with inequality.

Socrates said "Survival is nothing if in the process I lose my humanity."

When you faced with mass inequality you tear crowns from kings and force them to masquerade as paupers and jesters until they snap and in righting the wrongs done to them, they become the monster they hunted.

And so on until we balance out. I have high hopes that it won't take extinction for us to find equilibrium.

Maybe.

Prayerfully.

Hopefully.:usure::mjcry::hamster:
