I'm the kind of guy who does exceedingly well under pressure... a 100 metre as opposed to a marathon type approach to studying......which is why I always did well at exams as opposed to coursework/project type modules & assignments where you get accredited as you go along).... basically I'd let the intensity of the revision workload build up to the point where I felt compelled to pull a couple all nighters out of the hat with serious tunnel vision just before exam time... I know this approach is heavily preached against, but for some reason I never failed to fail academically using this methodology

Exactly the same here breh. But tbh it indeeds works to pass exams (which is what this thread is about) but not sure it makes you "keep" what you've learned.

However I would always do summaries of classes like the day after, but I NEVER read the books. Went to all the classes tho, even the non-compulsory ones, I'm one of those who believe teachers are actually usefull lol

the bottom line is putting in work. lebron, kobe, tiger woods are the first ones in the court and last ones out. they're not just the best by pure talent. it's the same with nerds. they're reading.. constantly working. they're not lost looking like :lupe: in class. they're reading after class and are ahead of the game. and during exams aren't in panic mode asking how they can ace exams on a forum with minimal reading:childplease:.

you may be able to get a lucky A without reading. but the greats who constantly get them, do it by reading.

we had an exam where i forgot that the exam was an open book exam and forgot my book and ended up being 2nd in the whole class. i couldn't believe ppl would have the book in front of them and not being able to score a hunnid on it.. even the ones that read it.

I never really studied much, unless it was some dates or vocabulary words I needed to memorize.

For everything else as long as I paid attention and understood everything in class, then I didn't need to study.

Recently on TV there was this show that focused on the epidemic rise of Teenage moms ...& it highlighted the many various hardships they had to endure whilst trying to juggle motherhood & education...I was in hysterics just of the strength of the show title which was 'Sexx, Prams & Exams' :dead:

If you write what you study, your retention rates improves tenfold.

Don't be one of those people who just hightlight everything on there textbooks

Planned procrastination. Light reading and putting thing together in my mind but not actually doing them until the time I had set aside. It's a dangerous game but I finished.
