Cam'ron's Purple Haze release date was his biggest blunder ever as an artist.

Cam been relevant for 23 years, when most of these gimmicky rappers can’t even make it past 2-3 yrs without falling off. Hard.
Like he didn’t have Dipset, The UN and other collaborations - who gives a shyt about the lamestreams when he had the street’s attention. Suburbanites living vicariously, cacs and out of country-ers talking about “bbbbuttt the pop tart charts, bbbbutt billboard, bbbbuttt the Grammys” all out of touch
:mjlol:“Bbbuttt Lupe..”
:deadmanny::deadmanny:that’s like comparing Mobb Deep to Tribe called Quest. Meanwhile Cam was putting out wild mixtapes and collabos -

Fifty knew he was done by late 06, he even did a SMACK DVD and saw the MTV hottest emcees list and he was ranked 7th .. and he asked smack “damn people really not fukking with me anymore” .. He took down Cam with him in the process
Dude... stop... you were like 7 yrs old. 20 yr olds posting on a message board like they know some shyt about Cam, fresh off similac and onesies, years of watching YouTube videos and footage now he’s the archival voice of the street sound
:dead::dead:

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
CHWM has his most iconic singles Hey Ma, Welcome to NYC, Oh Boy

I heard like two flips of Hey Ma and Oh Boy this year :heh:

Come Home With Me, The ROC, Losing Weight 2, Daydreaming, Cam over the Ambitionz beat on Live My Life

I don’t see it at all breh :manny:
Breh we aren't teenyboppers or KTT CACs. All that commercial Billboard bullshyt doesn't matter.

CHWM was a good album, and it generated a lot of success. But PH was peak Cam. He was brilliant. His bars were sharper and more abstract/obtuse. The production was much better. He was just on a different level. The lyrics website Genius literally started with an analysis of the song "Killa Cam". Again the album in totality was a mess. But cut down to the best tracks and Mizzle skits it's my personal favorite Cam album and probably a top 10 rap album period. Thats just my opinion though :manny:

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster

Definitely less Mizzle and more Oprah Steve. A couple of more signature Heatmakerz and it could have been one of the greatest (def. top 5 of 2004... and that's saying a got damn lot as that was the opus year for rap in that decade to me).

Album is definitely top 30 most played albums for me of all time.

Replay value is tremendous.
