:mjlol: at these rapper ducktales....he was bustin steph and rafer's ass for fun huh:comeon:......rafer pretty much covered it. cam was a good basketball player but nothing special. he could hang with top guys but never had the talent to be elite like they were. i'm sure he caught some interest from top colleges at some point. but eventually the interest fizzled out. then once he got exposed in the playoffs, he knew it was a wrap and just folded up. it always has to be that they got derailed....nah breh, you just weren't good enough. aint no shame in it.:yeshrug:

I'm not arguing this either way but if you're not focused on your craft, sports especially, you won't be great at it but that isn't saying the potential was or wasn't there. And you see it pay off for the guys who stay in the gym and become students of the game. Hell its topic of discussion that if the goat :mjpls: wouldnt have went as hard as he did to perfect his game as a youngn would he had even made it to the status he was at. You see the difference with cats who do take the shyt seriously and the ones with talent that don't take it seriously.

A lot of hood brehs could've been great if they had focused strictly on the game instead of street shyt and hoes.

Either way all this shyt is just talk anyway, nobody knows

@Newzz who get under these nikkas skin more Cam or About Billions?

Never thought of it like that:lupe:

nikkas hated on Cam saying he didn't have talent....then he drops quotables and classic CDs on their head (SDE, CHWM, PH are all classics:birdman:), and they still hate because he was flashy with his money, swag was on point, and he got respect from the real nikkas in the game:obama:

nikkas hate on AB saying he doesn't have talent....but yet he's a 4x Champion and only the 15th Boxer ever in the 100+ years of the sport to win 4 Championships over 4 Divisions, and they still hate because he's flashy with his money, swag is on point, and he gets respect from the real nikkas in the game:ohhh:

But the most :ohlawd: thing about it all.......

They both Get It In Ohio :wow:

Now hold the fukk up :dahell:

Is there a different Rafer Alston, an entirely separate entity that didn't play on an NBA Finals team just a few years ago and just so happens to be a streetball star :dahell:

Or is it the same dude, yet being a streetball star is for whatever reason higher praise than reaching the pinnacle of your profession by making the NBA :dahell:

Either way why isn't this clarified in the article :dahell:

I can't make sense of this brehs :dahell:

This just made me feel :flabbynsick:

@I.V. @Walt Y'all played against Killa?

Yes, actually. He was fine, not at all great. The dude in the Daily News joint Courtney Miles was my next door neighbor and childhood friend. My cousin was his teammate at Julia Richman, which I think closed its doors shortly after they graduated. Terrible school. He was known around the way as Pooda, later was called Gangsta. He played one-on-one games that drug dealers would wager on, late at night, on a court in Harlem across from the Jackie Rob projects. He could've been a D-1 starter, but he ain't know the first thing about school and he hustled so, yeah, that was that. I saw him playing in the Rucker for the Rough Ryders squad one year. Last I heard he moved down south with his family. Cam and Mase were not nice like that. Rich Parker was the star of that Manhattan Center team. Harlem was full of players like Cam and Mase. Another cat mentioned in the print of the Daily News joint posted was Bernard Wheeler, one of the most phenomenal ballhandlers I ever played with or against. He started on the King team that beat Steph's Lincoln team (which was a much better squad). I played with him in prep for a year, but he was too street to last more than one game. Slumped a classmate, skipped classes, then went home for Christmas break and never came back. If he had a jumper he would've been an absolute beast.
