This article is just building anticipation for the fight. They need something to write about and Canelo/Lara need someone to write about them. Writers were talking up Sergio Martinez like he still had it, meanwhile, he was Bionic Man, the Family Guy version. I don't trust these articles. I'm still picking Lara to win, but be fair to Canelo and his people.


On the other hand, this could be the prelude to another boxing story centered on an old theme consisting of a fighter needing to switch trainers to get to that next level.

This situation is always interesting. This is nothing new in boxing. Fighters grow up with the trainers being the boss. Over time, especially if they are a decent draw, they come to the realization that they are the boss & the trainer works for them. The roles start to reverse. If there's any truth to this article & he has this "I'm the boss" mentality, he's gonna learn the hard way.
