If you were 14 and you were dumb enough to steal a car and drive it into the river, guess what? Your ass is still getting locked up with the OTHER little ass delinquents that don't follow the rules. You don't get a slap on the wrist for doing dumb things. We've ALL done dumb shyt in our lives, and there's no doubt that we will continue to do dumb shyt in our lives. That's what humans do, we fukk up. But, there's consequences for what you do, and being an adult means taking responsibility for what you say and do.
Camila being 14 at the time and saying stuff like that shouldn't be an excuse. At 14, you should know better. She's in her 20s now, I assume. How do we know that she's genuinely grown and learned from that situation? And just like others have pointed out, there are black kids that are being treated as grown adults, so obviously they aren't going to have sympathy with her. Your statement is acting under the assumption that she's completely changed up her act since then, and if that were the case, maybe there'd be a point made, but I haven't heard anything of note from her besides her singles.
And I mean if
@Booksnrain is right about her fans sending Normani slave pictures and whatnot, you have to consider why her fans would even have the gall to do that in the first place. If they identify with you, and they're willing to be racist, well...
I'm just saying, that doesn't paint somebody in the best light. So there's more to it than just her being 14 at the time, it seems to go a bit deeper than that.
