MANAA speaking up but they don't even acknowledge in these complaints (from what I see) that Hawai'i is Native Hawaiian land... the "culture" of the state is a bubble gum version of real Native Hawaiian culture, basically appropriated right from them. The movie's title is "Aloha," that didn't come from any Asian languages.
Nonetheless, of course there are problems with representation in the movie. And MANAA's complaints are legitimate given how many Asians live in Hawai'i. But let's just ignore settler colonialism
