He will only get franchised when he is restricted. If he waits untill he is unrestricted, then who knows. Typically, deals get done when a player is franchised so I doubt he goes anywhere.
If he gets franchised, it would be huge one year payday for him. You would have to take the average of Mannings' Brady Rodgers and Brees salary and pay him that. .He aint making no where near that now

Fred Davis was franchise tagged by the Skins this year even tho he was a restricted FA. Ray Rice, Matt Forte, DeSean Jackson were all restricted FAs.

Franchise tag is good for ONE year. I know this isnot the NBA, but it aint slavery either. If Cam makes up his mind that he doesnt want to play in Carolina anymore, then guess what? He's not playing for them anymore.
