calling all star trek fans...

ive always been a huge Star Wars fan going back to when i was a kid but I've never watched any Star Trek. Not one episode of any of the shows and not one movie. I love and can appreciate good sci fi so i figured its about time i give it a try. I was browsing netflix and noticed that they have pretty much the complete series for every show but idk where to start? The original series? Ive heard Next Generation was also a good place to start. Any ideas, opinions?

Next Generation and Deep Space Nine are ill. I suggest smoking some weed as you watch, because Star Trek can get really trippy, almost twighlight zone esque sometimes. I was also a Star Wars fan as a kid and didn't get into Star Trek until about a year ago.

Also, if you haven't seen any the Trek films they're all pretty good, the new one made in 09 is amazing too.

start with deep space nine.

all the rest are meh

the next generation doesn't pick up until season 2 though and enterprise is good all around.


you should watch voyager if you liked deep space nine.

Next Generation was good when it aired but I'd be lying if I said it aged well. I love that show with all my heart though and if you can get past the first 2 seasons you will enjoy it. It can be cheesy at times, but still good.

DS9 is the shyt, through and through.

Voyager... eh... it's an acquired taste but as a Trek fan, I enjoyed it.

Skip Enterprise.

you should watch voyager if you liked deep space nine.

No he shouldn't. If he really likes DS9 then all he will feel after watching Voyager is anger and disappointment.

Stick to TNG and DS9 (both shows got much better after their uneven first seasons), skip Voyager and Enterprise completely and only check out the Generations and First Contact TNG feature films.

Watch the movie The First Contact first.
Then DS9.
If you need more after give Next Gen a chance.
Voyager also has a few amazing episodes but I don't know if its worth it to sit through 7 seasons for them.

Also breh Stargate SG1 and Babylon5 are 5 star shows as well.

DSN was good...I used to watch TNG as a kid and DSN kinda had me like meh at certain points but it was good though.

but i've seen the 09' movie more than 10 times, that shyt is amazing.
