I'm not a huge fan of it, but the High Alert perk can help a lot on certain maps. I got off four extra kills on Grazna Raid trying to take a Domination point dolo right by the enemy spawn point. I was dead to rights a few times, but that alert let me know to slide and get to cover. It really comes down to having a load out that you're comfortable with based on the map and game type. I hate sniping, but sometimes I'll roll with a marksman rifle as a secondary on certain maps. An SMG makes more sense on Shoothouse, whereas an assault rifle with scout scope works better on Euphrates Bridge. I run and gun and play the objective moreso than anything, thoughidk how I can put half a clip into someone, they side step and hit me with 2 shots and I die WTF!
I'm not doing terrible, but jesus and the lord it's damn near impossible to get higher than a 5 kill streak
my aim sensitivity was waaay up so I wasn't able to stay on target, I turned it down to default and went 34-17 last night with the m4. I will try the high alert, the thing I have an issue with is getting the drop on somebody put 5 in their chest and they kill me with 1.

Considering my clumsiness with the Desert Eagle since Call of Duty modern warfare 1 days...
This clutch meant a lot to me

Just imagine my face and happiness when I'm playing Hardcore search with my 9 year old son and he clutches the round.
Nothing like watching your young Jedi place a 357 to a nikka's chest to open his rib cage like a bday present
What guns are those happening with? I haven't switched the aim sensitivity on this game from day 1. The pace is perfect for me. Like some have said, headshots are crucial.my aim sensitivity was waaay up so I wasn't able to stay on target, I turned it down to default and went 34-17 last night with the m4.
