You might be trying to use it at too long of a distance. Its a close to medium range weapon.

Try the KN44, unlocked from the start and very good.

This has been the case with most games for a long time now. You don't HAVE to buy anything extra though. I can't remember buying any season passes. I think I have like 2 and those were gifted to me.

Weevil or Razorback w/quick draw + stock + grip + fast mags + extended mags

Only perk I run is Ante Up. I've been a monster since I started rushing with this set up. I almost got 100 kills with no score streaks but uav/cuav. It feels like the specialist bonus in MW3.
