Call me crazy but I feel like the 2020s would be a positive decade for black people

Do you agree that this decade will be much better?

If we weren't heading into a global recession

Then yes

Tbh, I’m getting the strong feeling that may indeed end up being the case. On a level not seen since the ‘20s, ‘70s, and ‘90s...Possibly even bigger than all that. This decade will definitely be the start of our ascension towards something truly phenomenal.

I think black people need to have our own board of representatives and leaders that we follow and listen to

We need to be able to move together in unison

A board that speaks for us, educates us, and leads on how to move

There's too many of us trying to figure it all out on our own and the CBC black caucus isn't really doing shyt or being vocal

I observe other races and notice the power is in the unison.

The preserving of culture, the specific customs and ways of life, the unions etc

Like all this rioting and protesting is great to get the world's attention but it's like and then what happens after?
A couple police retraining policies? weak racial discrimination legislation that sounds good but rly does nothing?

Where are our leaders for today?
Who is speaking for us? Liek who are the powerful black people that are making moves on our behalf, not just flexing?
Like are there any board room meetings in which we plan how we're gonna move?

Like it can't all be protests and symposiums and conferences and documentaries

Congress? the CBC hasn't done anything relevant in years
Senators? they're beholden to the Dems party
BLM? I honestly don't know what their plan is to solve this mess, awareness only does so much
Celebs? they live in a bubble of ignorant riches

Like who is in charge? who is leading?
There's no focus or specific goals or concrete ultimatums and messages?

If no one changes anything, what's the point of all this?
