Californiacation is the best TV show I ever watched

Na. Becomes repetitive by season 3. It’s still a decent show.

yep...I recently marathoned it earlier this year or late last year...first 3 seasons are GREAT but it becomes formulaic after that

I watched it in 2011, binge watch, and then maybe one season after that on Showtime. The first was near classic, Southern California lifestyle/comedy/light drama, and I if I remember right, the second is strong too. By season 4, it still was funny, but it lacked a lot of the heart and became more a silly parody almost than anything else. But, that first season was special, I would probably like it even more now, as I am much older, and gone through many more scenarios dating wise than I had when I was 25.

I agree, Season 1 and 2 were special. I was in my mid 20's too when it came out. It captured Southern Cali well. And it was a series that had a lot of heart. Lots of memorable dialogue and characters. I personally have the show in my top 10. I thought the first 4 seasons were almost flawless. It fell off after season 5. But i still watched it till the end.

Hank and Karen's relationship, with all the heartache and heartbreak was realistically portrayed. They were two people who got together in their 20's, had an accidental baby, which bound them together. But the two still were somewhat strangers when she got pregnant. They were on two different planes of life, trying to catch the same flight. And didn't until the end. Elton John's Rocketman was always beautifully used during the show too.

Great show at one point but those last 2 seasons were awful, the on and off relationship with Karenwas annoying at that point. I was like move on nikka she over your bs smh.. but those first 4-5 season were extremly entertaining. I miss shows like this, they tried to reinvent this show with jay pahroah but it only lasted one season. maybe it was too
