I hope so. I'd imagine the argument against that would come from some quack liberal ''scientist'' on the stand asserting that this brand of smoking isn't just done in YOUR home, if it seeps through the walls into anothers' home.

Its not just your home, it has to have shared walls. So condos, multi-unit homes, apartments, etc.

Honestly, I'd be pretty happy about it since I've quit ciggs for 2 years now and can't stand the smell anymore.

On the other hand, I don't think its right nor should they have the legal right to tell you what you can and can't do in your own home. I'd put my vote behind them repealing this law.

We're not talking about somebody not being able to smoke in their own house, we're talking about multi-family residences where other people living in the building might be affected by secondhand smoke. You could make an argument that this is excessive, but the thread title makes it sound like the law just said that nobody could smoke in their house period.

Yea, you said nothing. A condo is owned the exact same way a detached home is. . . It's a home, and now these folks can't smoke in their own homes.

Smoking indoor presents undue second and third hand smoke risk to strangers and children who decide not to smoke. If smoking is permitted inside, liability should be foistered upon smokers. I don't want to inhale second smoke and endanger my health and if I do smell cigarette smoke, I should have to right to fukking sue.

If you can ban people from smoking crack anywhere as per the Consitutional law, it seems like a fair jump to say you can ban people from smoking ciagrettes indoors. The government could also just ban cigarettes entirely.

Its a horrible idea and really power hungry people who want to push their views on others because.they.think they are so smart.and know whats.best for others.when they are really egotistical ignorant a$$holes. If they were fair they could just make it mandatory to have a air cleaner if you're a smoker. This will make everyone happy. If the smoke permeates.you will be fined. This will cause people to have a smoke room.

Just banning something is asking for trouble when you know a lot of people want it. This idea banning tobacco is going to.backfire horribly. Instead of banning tobacco there needs to be a.banning on additives to commercial cigarettes since.they are the cause of problems associated with tobacco not tobacco itself, along with the way it is cured
