I promised myself when I left San Diego as the pandemic hit to return back home to Austin I was gonna buy a house. Some shyt went left so I had to wait til the top of 2021. I looked up and those same homes for 300k or so were now 375-380k but selling higher cuz ppl were competeting.

Now I feel like I'm priced out, but I just can't return to apartment living. Maybe I just gotta come to terms I won't be able to buy a nice home here and head to houston.

No one thinks about the public safety risks Adler caused because of not having the policy. Imagine your woman on the street walking downtown and a homeless person is badgering her and you're not there, calling her a bytch.

I don't need to go downtown to smell piss and shyt either. Don't people realize that is a health and environmental risk?

Prop B has plans on having designated areas for the homeless and to help them get permanent jobs and housing. We also need to fund mental health and drug rehab facilities, but just letting them lie on the street isn't helping out anyone.

There's a bunch of tents and camps set up in many of the parks here and by the river. My girlfriend likes to do outdoors stuff and she isn't really into carrying any sort of protection (I bought her some mace) so I worry about her. Not saying that homeless are dangerous but I'm just being realistic.

It's also embarrassing for people to come here and I take them downtown and it's filthy.
