dry heat is better than humidity to me. I’ve lived in both coast, and prefer west coast heat to East coast. I’ll say this though, swing in the ocean in Cali is a no go. That water is freezing. Catch me on a beach in the east coast 100x over west coast. At least u can enjoy the water with turning purple
depending where you was at and what year it was, if it wasnt over 105 then humidity probably feels worse. Example if you are comparing 90 degree weather in Cali to 90 degree weather in Florida, Florida will feel worse because of humidity but it also basically has a threshold on it for the most part and rarely reaches past that.
Think about it like this, people from west coast are flying to Florida to escape this heat right now
once it starts hitting 107-110+ degrees, it becomes too hot to do almost anything. The issue is its been hitting 107-115 degrees commonly is why people are complaining. If it was just hitting 105 1 day and back down to 95-100 the rest no one would be complaining
Humidity and Dry heat have their own issues. Dry heat though when it reaches the current heat, you literally cant walk outside on concrete without burning your feet which humidity will never ever get that hot. If that makes sense.
Combine that with very little rain (California is dryest state in America during the summer) and ocean breeze wind, thats why we get so many fires.
