As someone who has checked a couple Latinos in the past for saying it, I gave up (unless it's the hard R, which never gets said in front of me anyway)

And I only checked those particular Latinos because I already had personal issues with them....

It's almost always an uphill battle and USUALLY you're by yourself. Other black people won't back you up. In fact, they'll side with them.
