Bruh, she’s was doing it for 3 years and not a peep until those viral moments in the final 4 last year. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon this year. :mjpls:

I talked about her and Paige Beuckers when they were freshman.

She shoots a lot of 3’s, so did Ionescu. Just not at the same volume.

I’ve also been one of the biggest advocates so I hope she does help blow up the WNBA. But the media is being phony and they’re only on the bandwagon because it’s a viral moment. Let’s see if they keep the same energy when she gets drafted by a shyt team, and it’s the middle of July during NFL training camp. Let’s see if fans will show up or if they will still cover her on ESPN. I highly doubt it.

And the sad part is she couldn’t left after her sophomore or freshman year. But the pay in the WNBA is so shytty players aren’t rushing to go pro.

Breh this thread your posting in was started two years ago, so obviously people been fukking with her since before her final four run last year. Has she gotten bigger of course, have people hopped on the bandwagon of course, but that literally happens with everything

I didn’t know thecoli.com was an ESPN or Fox Sports affiliate. :mjpls:

This site also talks about dog vs cats all the time, so it must be a national debate as well.

You're retarded women's sports is literally on ESPN all the fukking time. Did you really fukking come in here to stoke a race war? WTF is wrong with you

This is deranged behavior
Race war :mjlol:

Caitlin Clark went viral for

1. Beating South Carolina mostly black squad vs and mostly white squad

2. The trash talk from her and Reese

3. Reese being right over Jill Biden wanting to invite Iowa to the White House even though they got blown out.

4. The ensuing shea butter backlash.

How can I be stoking race when I was hyping Paige Bueckers since her and Clark were freshman? Make it make sense?

My biggest complaint is the MEDIA and how it controls the narrative. There have been a lot of GREAT women who came thru the NCAA ranks, and few if any got this much gas. And the ones who did quickly faded once they put the WNBA uniform on. I remember when they were saying Chamique Holdsclaw was debating if she was good enough to play in the NBA on the cover of SLAM magazine

IMG-5107.jpg

This isn’t a new phenomenon.

The only difference is Clark is getting all the hype and hasn’t won anything.

They trying to peg her the goat of Women’s hoops and she has no titles.

Make it make sense. All marketing driven. Could it be they are trying to market to a certain demographic?

She’s not a lesbian and she’s white. How many Superstar caliber WNBA players exist who are young, white and isn’t a dyke and isn’t a big burly bytch?

I’ll wait :mjpls:

It was supposed to be Cameron Brink, but….:manny:

At the end of the day, the media needs to do better.

i hope people realize that no matter what she does, no one tuning in to the WNBA. it's legit a hopeless league. it's the only league in american sports where there is no benefit in getting drafted. these girls play in the worst time of the year and be playing at like 2 PM on weekdays :mjlol:

If it's on streameast I'm tuned in.

Angel Reese benefited tremendously from all those things you listed as well.

You also had to go back almost 25 years and say this isnt a new phenomenon. It you gotta go back that far it's obviously not happening that much

I just happen to follow the sport more than you :mjpls:

Angel Reese broke the women's record for most double doubles in a season as a sophomore.. so she was being praised within the league before the tournament.

Then there's Dianna Taurasi, Brianna Stewart and a host of other UConn alumni who dominated the sport.

Sabrina Ionescu got a lot of hype as well at Oregon who played with an WNBA player coli brehs lust over..

Ducksthree.jpg

She was also friends with Kobe and he was promoting her and the sport...

Then theres A'ja Wilson

She won a title at South Carolina... then Rookie of the Year... then MVP.... then back to back Championships..

Brianna Stewart won 3 straight national titles.. Rookie of the Year .... and two WNBA championships

I can keep going by why bother. Candance Parker came in and crushed it as well. Maya Moore.. same thing..

They all won in college, and collected all the accolades you can get in the pros. And still nobody watches.

So Angel Reese had buzz before the tournament but CC didnt ? And yes Angel def had buzz but so did CC, you not being able to realize that the national championship accelerated their stardom is ridiculous

You just arguing to argue

Cause she was pretty much the consensus second best player in womens college basketball in 2022 behind aaliyah boston

She being called one of the best players in college in 2022

Article from the washington post in 2022

What are you talking about

Its like you mad that people fukk with her but you also mad that some people didnt fukk with her 3 years ago

You're pulling up random articles from random news sources. The Washington Post? :mjlol: really?

I'm talking about Sports Talk Radio and TV. National brands and national shows.

And both Angel Reese and Clark had a buzz within the "women's basketball community"... keep up :snoop:

Reese also transferred to LSU to play for an all time great coach who has her own star power in her own right.

If Clark went to a different school like a UConn or Baylor or Stanford, she would've gotten even more buzz prior to the end of last season. She's from Iowa and chose to play there. It's not a national power and the Big 10 is weak. So her stats were taken with a grain of salt. She put up better stats than Paige Bueckers as freshman, but Bueckers won player of the year. Why? Because she won more games against better competition.

Even this year. Iowa has played one of the weakest non conference schedules in the country. ON TOP of playing in a weak conference.

You’re only proving my point. You pulled that from the women’s basketball section at espn.com

Show me a clip where they are discussing her on First Take? Undisputed? Get Up? Speak for Yourself? Any basketball show?

You make it seem like I said it’s not covered at all. I specifically said that WITHIN the women’s basketball space they got praise. But that space is ignored by everyone else.
